What verified means
A note is verified when a person has compared the Windows winget id, package manifest, and GitHub Releases asset names with the sources in the table on the review date, then set last verified to that date. The date is 2026-09-02 for the current lock. Last verified is not a freshness badge for every GitHub star count. Stars, download counts, and the current tag come from GitHub at build. Prose that names a behavior (scenes, local record, virtual camera, streaming to a platform you already use) has to match the README on that same date.
Windows x64 is the mapped install path. Release assets the guides describe are the Windows x64 Nullsoft installer and the portable x64 zip. App Installer is required for winget on Windows 10 1809 or later and on Windows 11. The product runs as a local Windows program. Notes skip claiming an OS matrix the README does not print in the install command.

Other review roundups are not sources. winstall.app listed the same winget id on the review date. Notes still treat microsoft/winget-pkgs as the identifier source, because the README points at obsproject.com rather than printing the winget line.
How the winget command is checked
The public command uses the winget-pkgs PackageIdentifier:

Release tags at build
File names, sizes, and the current tag are read from GitHub before a build. The stamp prints that tag. Body copy says "the current release" so a new tag does not leave a stale dotted number in a paragraph. Default take is the Windows x64 installer. Winget-pkgs can trail the GitHub tag by a folder. Notes still refuse a frozen dotted number in HTML. The stamp carries the GitHub tag. The command stays the same id. Readers who want the newest exe on the day a tag lands can take the file from GitHub Releases while winget catches up.
How comparisons stay fair
Compare notes use the other vendor's own page, with an "about" hedge on any price. Streamlabs Desktop is a company desktop built on the same family of capture tools. XSplit Broadcaster sells paid editions on its own site. Xbox Game Bar is the built-in Win+G capture in Windows. NVIDIA App includes vendor capture on NVIDIA GPUs. Notes skip inventing a rank.
